Description: a family of ironwork in which each piece is individually designed to work to its best. Composed of three sets of gates and an arbour, this “family” of works has common stylistic themes, but great individuality in each iteration. The Ironwork Studio was asked for ironwork that would complement a relaxed country garden with a design that continues to engage you the closer you get through the attention to detail. To achieve this the work is blacksmith made, purposely optimising traditional techniques to create charming detailing, where up close you have opportunity to fully appreciate the craftsmanship. Though heavily influenced by traditional decorative scrollwork, it has clearly been given an updated modern country feel by our focus on strong bold forms epitomising the curvaceous nature of hot forged ironwork. To complement and enhance the setting the work was painted in True Taupe No 240 by Little Greene.
